The staff are amazing and all so helpful. I'm trying to put off knee surgery and Susana has been the most helpful therapist I know. She listens well and explains what she's trying to do to help heal my knee. She has a huge amount of knowledge and so does all of the aides who are also extremely helpful. I have been to Alves & Martinez twice. A few years ago because of severe back pain and currently to improve my over overall strength. The exercises they gave me for my back pain helped right away and resolved the problem after a few weeks. Now Jeff Alves is helping with my strength training and I am getting stronger. Having chronic neck pain for many years and PT with little to no improvement . . . until I went to William Martinez. He did a thorough assessment and clearly identified the location of my issue and what gave me relief. He provided corrective treatment and gave me a small set of highly effective exercises. Walked in with extreme lower back pain. Met Susanna, who spent a considerable amount of time probing and massaging to find the Offensive muscles and joints that were causing the problem. She worked up a special set of exercises to strengthen the muscles and was very descriptive in explaining the Problem and solution. My physical therapist at Alves & Martinez Physical Therapy is Susana. Susana is an outstanding physical therapist. I was impressed with her active listening skills and her ability to describe the purpose and focus of the exercises for my rotator cuff tear and my surgically repaired ankle. Review for Yesenia Rodriguez, Physical Therapist I cannot recommend Yesenia Rodriguez highly enough. She is professional, knowledgeable, and extremely understanding. I first met her when she treated my son, who has special needs and can be challenging to work with at times. Yesenia showed incredible patience, compassion, and skill, making him feel comfortable while also ensuring he received the care he needed. Because of her outstanding work with my son, I returned to her for my own care—and once again, she exceeded expectations. She listens, explains clearly, and provides effective treatment that truly makes a difference. If you are in East Sacramento or Sacramento and need a physical therapist, I highly recommend Yesenia Rodriguez. Billy Martinez recognized within two visits that the extent of my injuries was beyond the scope of his practice. He referred me to my primary care physician for MRI diagnostics. After review of the results, I was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. Two days after the consultation, I had a total hip replacement to deal with a labral tear, severe osteoarthritis, and a fractured femur. I am grateful that Dr, Martinez didn't power through trying to mend me and potentially exacerbating the situation. They are most professional re knowledge  They listen and hear what you say They personally are with you one to one for your session Explain what need to do to get well and what must be aware of what doing that could be Hurtful. Over the past 15 years I have had to rehab following multiple surgeries and injuries. The personal care delivered by Billy and Eve is amazing. They work with you and see you at each visit. I have had therapy at other places over the years and you only see the physical therapist on your first visit. That is not the case here. They truly believe in caring for each of their patients. Their staff is always professional and helpful. I can not say enough positive things about them. I have referred numerous friends and family here and they have gotten the same amazing care. I am very greatful to have Billy Martinez as my physical therapist! He is very knowledgeable  and explains the exercises that he walks me through so that I will understand and learn as we go. I was in a lot of pain after my spine surgery and am feeling much better after the first week. Alves & Martinez is a fantastic facility for physical therapy for everything from post surgical recovery to athletic performance training programs, and all things physical. My therapist was Billy Martinez. Billy is absolutely great at what he does. He REALLY knows his stuff and he knows exactly how hard and how fast to push you to avoid re-injury. The facility is literally like walking into an athletic store. They have at least one of every piece of training gear that you could require. From the usual weights and machines to reformers and sophisticated cable systems, they have it all. The staff is wonderful too. Everyone is friendly and helpful and they always manage to find a spot to squeeze me in for appointments to keep my training/recovery consistent.
